Brandon Snow’s solo exhibition “Life, Death, and Beauty” at Art on 5th Gallery in Austin, Tx
The title “Life, Death, and Beauty” came about quite simply as I was brainstorming show titles I wanted to keep it very open yet focused. Not an easy thing to achieve. I knew I was wanting to feature a bit more fine art, fashion inspired portrait photography in this show but still visit my favorite theme, the relationship and coexistence of life and death. So BOOM, “Life, Death, and Beauty” was born. In every piece I create at least one if not all three of those words can be used to describe one of my pieces. I am very happy with the balance of this body of work. This is my first exhibition with the Art on 5th Gallery and it was a great success with a high turnout at the opening reception, sales from both off the wall and out of my show catalog, and countless medias posting about its opening. I am very grateful for all you who attended and all the art communities who did make posts to bring people out. The show ran from June 17, 2016 to mid July. Many pieces were left up at the gallery after the show and all are in my print catalog available on view at the galleries front desk. I put a lot of time, money, and effort into this show and am very pleased to see the investment pay off financially, spiritually, and artistically. I am very proud of this body of work and look forward to growing from this body. Every new body of work has to be as good and hopefully better than your last and I have set myself up for a real challenge with this set of work. Stay in tune and updated to see what comes next and if your in the Austin area take moment to check Art on 5th out and support your local art gallery!!
